Born August 28, 1953 in Buncombe County, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Donald and Lillian McCarter Maney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Drake.
Sally is survived by her husband of 42 years, Wayne Eckard of the home; daughters Amanda Balasco and husband David of Rock Hill, SC, and Monica Eckard of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Skylar Balasco and David Balasco III; brother Donald Maney, Jr. and wife Joyce; brother-in-law, Francis Drake of Asheville, NC;
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover. Rev. Brian Weaver will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home.
