Our Beloved Mother, Shirley Hartsoe Drum, 77, of Conover went home to be with her newfound savior, Jesus Christ, on January 18, 2024 at her home under the care of Hospice. Shirley was born on November 8, 1946 in Catawba County to the late Edna Pauline Issac.
She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Rosie Hartsoe; her true love, McArthur Grant; husband, Ray Setzer; son, Scott Bradley Grant; granddaughter, Valerie Keener, and sister, Judy Hedrick.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Rose Ann Keener (Bo) of Maiden and Ginger Moore of Conover; brothers, Steve and Michael (Lisa); sisters, Carolyn (Butch), Joyce (Jerry), Patricia (Paul); five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Shirley loved her family, would give, and did give on many occasions her last dollar to help whoever needed it. She was always humble and positive. She will be greatly missed.
She did not get to serve Jesus long on this earth, but she will spend eternity with him as she said, “I’m ready to go.”
A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Conover, with Pastor Donald Caldwell officiating.
You’re walking on two legs again Mama!!!
