

Born September 26, 1937 in Catawba County, NC, he was the son of the late Hassie Lon Killian and Lottie Rebecca Hedrick Killian. Tommy was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Conover and loved playing bluegrass music. He worked for 35 years at Regency Bedspread Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Blair Killian Jr.; sister, Ovalene Drum; and brother, Kenneth “Mack” Killian.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Martha B. Killian, of the home; a son, Lonnie Oren Killian of Newton; daughter, Arrietta Marie Burgess and husband, Bradley, of Denver; step-daughter, Tammie Whitlow and husband, Robert, of Iron Station; brother, Billy Harold Killian and wife, Hayesalene, of Catawba; sisters, Betty Ann Poovey of Newton, Aileen Wallace and husband, Joe, of Statesville, Joyce Hudson of Maiden, Jeannie Houston of Florida; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Correll officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.
The family will receive friends from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
