Virginia Ham

Born February 24, 1929 in Kearney, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gaither and Nora Rhodes Howell. She had retired from Lee Industries and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Virginia loved to grow flowers, read, and she loved humming birds.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Roger Ham; sons, Roger Fredrick Ham Jr. and wife, Doris of Claremont and Allen Ray Ham and wife, Teressa of Newton; daughters, Virginia Dare Hinkley of Catawba, Katherine Lee Ham-Wilson and husband “Donny” Wayne of Maiden, Vivian Rebecca Gilliam and husband, Gary of Taylorsville, Cindy Regina Ham of Catawba, Jonnie Marleen Watts and husband, Leonard of Winter Haven, FL, and Carla Ham Simmons and husband, Brent of Lawndale; 18 brothers and sisters; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A private service will be held for the family.

The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
