Barbara J. Schoenecker

Barbara was raised in Bentley, Kansas and later met the love of her life, Vincent Schoenecker. They were married February 10, 1952. In earlier years of their marriage they moved around the country with Vince’s careers. Barbara had her own successful career at Getty Oil Company, and enjoyed mentoring and training young interns. After early retirement, they traveled for pleasure, visiting Alaska, Hawaii, Germany and all over the continental United States by RV. She raised her family with righteousness, and gave of herself to others through volunteering. She was a faithful, loving mother, wife, and sister. Her support for Vince, her children, her grandchildren and her extended family was unwavering. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Vince, daughter, Carol Homan and husband, David, son, Randall Schoenecker and wife, Beverly, sisters, Margaret Clemence, Karen Williams and Gaylene King, grandchildren, Melody, Carl, Kelly, Ben, Daniel, Taylor, Kim, Lacey, and four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Bentley United Methodist Church in her hometown of Bentley, Kansas.
