Bettie is preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Arie Capps Smith, aunt: Jessie Smith Castille; sister; Beverly Smith Wagstaff; and brother: John Smith.
Bettie is survived by her loving husband: Darwin Foster; daughters: Sharon Yaw and husband Harvey, and Elaine Jernigan; son: Bill Foster and wife Lori; brother: Clifford Smith and wife Virginia; grandchildren: Christy Antilley and husband Jason, Robin Traylor and husband Scott, Kelly Jernigan, Thomas Jernigan, Garrett Foster, and Jessica Foster; great grandchildren: Allyson Antilley, Blake Antilley and Baileigh Traylor; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Metcalf Funeral Directors. The funeral service will be held 1:00PM Friday at First Montgomery Baptist Church, 20423 Eva St. Montgomery, Texas 77356. The interment will follow in Copeland Chapel Cemetery.
