January 24, 1937 - April 23, 2026
Betty Boyett, 89, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2026. She was born on January 24, 1937 to J.A. and Elizabeth (Clanton) DeLoach in Sarepta, Louisiana. She grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana and attended Louisiana Tech, where she met her future husband, Bill Boyett, from Winnfield, Louisiana.
Bill and Betty were married on April 18, 1959. Because of Bill's work with Exxon, they moved several times, including moves to Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, and Texas. They raised their two children, Mark and Elizabeth, in Houston, Texas, where Betty worked as a teacher's aide and, because of her love of needlework, worked in a framing shop for several years.
When Bill retired, they moved to Conroe, Texas, where Betty was an active member of the Montgomery County Master Gardeners program, book clubs, bible studies, and was a member of the First Baptist Church Conroe and the Encouragers Bible Class.
Betty was a wonderful mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, birds, and plants of all kinds, and she shared all of her interests with her children and grandchildren throughout her life.
Betty is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bill Boyett; son Mark Boyett and wife Cami Boyett; daughter Elizabeth Myrick and husband David Myrick; granddaughter Catherine Rodgers and husband Chance Rodgers; granddaughter Sidney Boyett; granddaughter Melissa Jones and husband Zach Jones; grandson Jake Boyett; great-grandchildren Case Rodgers, Crew Rodgers, Cole Jones, and Callie Jones.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Worthington Manor, Devotion Hospice, & her wonderful private caregivers for their compassionate care and kindness during Mom's final months.
