Darlene Rose Cosek

Darlene , also known as Dot to friends and family, was a loving wife and mother.

She grew up in Rush Run, Ohio with her brothers and sister before joining the Army, where she met and married her husband of 68 years, William N Cosek. After living in Virginia and Illinois, they eventually moved to Texas with six kids. Mainly being a homemaker, she worked odds jobs to help ends meet. She loved to travel, crocheting, teaching Sunday school , attending church, crossword puzzles and reading.

Darlene is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Elizabeth Hanks, her father Frederick G. Hanks , her sister Maxine, brother Dennis Hanks , her husband William “Bill” Cosek, her sons Dennis “Indio” Cosek, Richard Fredrick Cosek and granddaughter Jennifer Mae Cosek.

She is survived by her sister Joan Crawford of Toronto, Ohio, her brother Ronald G. Hanks of Delaware, Ohio, her daughter Robin Ann Cosek of Arkansas, son Scott William Cosek of Crosby Texas, daughter Penny and husband Bryant Dockray III of New Waverly Texas and daughter Patricia and husband Ron Rice of Huffman Texas. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with cherished relatives and friends.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
