Darrell Glen Johnson “Daddy Darrell” of Conroe Texas passed away October 30, 2016. Darrell was born July 6, 1939 in Mt. Belvieu, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents: Dink and Olean Johnson; and great grandson: Cody Champion. Darrell was a Member of Masonic Lodge # 25 of Montgomery for 45 years, he loved gardening, hunting and spending time with his family. Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Janie Johnson; daughters: Jamie Wiggins and Husband Keith, Sandra Champion and husband Richard; son: Bo Johnson and wife Linda; grandchildren: Erin Johnston and fiancé’ Donny Land, Kasie Ives and husband Cody, Dean Champion and wife Valorie, Emily Howard and husband James, Mamie Champion and fiancé’ Adam Butcher, Cole Johnson and wife Emily, Clint Johnson and wife Rachel, Lakeisha Colson, and Walter Colson; 9 great grandchildren; sister Eugenia Letbetter; and numerous nieces , nephews other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00PM Wednesday at Metcalf Funeral Directors. The funeral services will be 10:00AM Thursday at Metcalf Funeral Directors with the Interment to follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery.
