The Celebration will continue after the Memorial Service at Dad's home with food, drinks, music, stories, and a bonfire at his home in Conroe.
Daryl Morgan was a generous, caring, and compassionate father who always gave and never asked for anything in return. He cared deeply about family, friends, music, cars, wine, and the Buffalo Bills. More than anything, he cherished being a dad and grandpa and everything that brings.
He used his distinct sense of humor and wisdom as his way to give those closest to him the values he held. Integrity, care for loved ones, pursuit of excellence through diligence, honesty in all commitments, and to practice forgiveness toward others. When he lent that helping hand, it often came with an ounce or two of critique and judgment — just enough to keep you humble, but always rooted in love. His jokes, always delivered with a grin and a twinkle in his eye (and possibly a sprint at the ready in case he had to run for safety), brought laughter to everyone he met. He loved to tease, to poke fun, and to make the hard days lighter for those around him. But beneath that teasing spirit was a heart full of kindness. Those memorable "Darylisms" are the cornerstone of his lasting impression that continue to encourage his family and those around him. We love you, Dad. May he rest easy now, his miles complete, and his big rig parked for good.
He is survived by his sister Betty Lavery, his two nieces Robin Wetzler Colvin and Vicky Lavery, his two nephews Scott Wetzler and Chris Lavery, his sons Zachariah Morgan and wife Rachel Morgan, Jonah Morgan and wife Erica Morgan, Mathew Thornton and wife Natasha Thornton, and his grandchildren Quinn Morgan and Sabine Morgan.
Honor his memory by sharing a joyful story about Daryl with someone close to you.
In lieu of flowers, we would like everyone to donate to ASPCA or your charity of choice.
