Memorial services for David Alfred Banta, Jr 63, of Channelview, TX and formerly of Montgomery County will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 3:00pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel. David was born January 18, 1947 in Houston, Texas and entered into rest on May 11, 2010 in Channelview, Texas after a two-year long courageous battle with throat and tongue cancer. David was a former police officer in Brazoria County and most recently a fishing guide at Lake Conroe. He is survived by his son, Trey Banta and his wife Cinthya Banta; grandson, Daniel Banta and niece Michell Yarbrough. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
