

David graduated from Ardmore High School in Ardmore, Oklahoma in 1965. He was a member of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam and worked for Baker Hughes as an electronic engineer for over 25 years.
His passion was coaching girls' fastpitch softball. As founder of the MC Elite organization, he also umpired as well as served as the Texas ASA District 14 commissioner. His generosity and impact at work and in the community is legendary. Respected state wide, he has enabled hundreds of girls to attend college on softball scholarships. He loved the game and it loved him back.
Preceded in death by his father George Edmund Drude, his mother Vera Drude, and his granddaughters Dharma Drude, Stella Drude, and Liza Drude, David is survived by his daughter Jennifer Drude-Dunlap, her husband Shawn Dunlap, his grandsons Christopher, Kade, and Hunter. He is also survived by his son Jason Drude, his wife Jennie and their children Maxwell, Molli, and Milo. He is survived by his sister Karen Drude King, her husband Rick and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his step-mother Martha Hurst Drude.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 27th, 2016.
