David Earl Laughlin

A Celebration of Life for Reverend David Earl "Dave" Laughlin will be celebrated in Word and Music on Saturday, September 21, 2013. A visitation will begin at 9:00 at April Sound Church, Montgomery, TX (67 1/2 April Wind South) followed by a service at 10:00 and reception. Interment will be at 3:00 at Dew Cemetery, Dew, TX. located 9 miles south of Fairfield on Highway 75.

Rev. Laughlin was born November 5, 1928, in Roswell, NM to Rev. David and Myrtle Laughlin. He was ordained in the Texas District of the Assemblies of God in 1952. He served as a pastor and evangelist in Texas, NM, AR, and many other states. He changed his earthly address to his Heavenly Home on September 16, 2013, in Conroe TX.

Rev. Laughlin leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 63 years, Gloria Gray Laughlin; his children: Twila and husband Dowen Johnson, Bobby "Rocky" Laughlin, & Tamra and husband Marty Douglas. He was preceded Home by his parents and infant brother. His two brothers, JB Laughlin and wife, Bernice, and Bob Laughlin and wife, Bonnie, also survive. He was blessed to have four grand children and four great-grandsons: Charles D. Johnson (Baylor), David E. Johnson and wife Kelly (Luke, Lance and Lane), Kayla Douglas, & Justin Douglas. His nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends also hold their memories close.
