Donald Rios Champion

Donald Rios Champion was born July 14, 1948 in Mercedes, Texas to Carlos Champion and Teresa Rios Champion, and passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 67. Donald enjoyed music, playing guitar, sports, geneology and spending time with his family. He spent many years in Lubbock, Texas and raised his family in Conroe, Texas. Donald worked for the past 30 years in the auto dealership industry, the last 15 of those years being at Wiesner in Conroe, Texas. He is survived by his daughters, Kelly Champion-Alexander of Spring, Jill Champion-Heise and husband Shane Heise of Spring, Carmen Champion of Houston, and Jessica Champion-Foster of Conroe; mother of his daughters and best friend, Connie Champion of Montgomery; sister Mary Champion of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Lee Champion and wife Linda Champion of Wolfforth, Texas; grandchildren, Eric Champion, Drake Champion-Ball, Courtni Foster, Davis Heise, December Heise and Duke Heise; great grandchildren, Layci Zwernemann, Layne Champion and Hunter Champion. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 3:00pm in the Cashner Colonial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
