Duane Goolsby

Funeral services for Duane Goolsby, age 84, of Conroe will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Dr. Jay Gross officiating. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.

Duane was born September 27, 1925 in Mexia, Texas and passed away on August 22, 2010 in Conroe, Texas. He loved his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and his family and friends. He enjoyed family get togethers and doted on his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Goolsby and parents, Seth Calvin and Geraldine Beene Goolsby. Duane is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Judy Goolsby of Conroe; daughter, Peggy Hager and husband Barclay of Montgomery; sons, Gerald Goolsby and Michael Goolsby, both of Conroe; grandchildren, Mark Curlee and wife Lacee of Montgomery, Kimberly Curlee and fiancé John Johnson of Conroe and Joe Hager of Irving; great grandchildren, Cole Thornton, Matthew Curlee and Jackie Hager. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. The family would like to give a special thanks to Odyssey House Hospice and the dear friends of West Conroe Baptist Church.
