

Jerry was born in Dallas, Texas January 9th, 1929 and was raised in Naples, Texas. After serving in the United States Marine Corp, he obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston Texas. After completing his residency in both Internal Medicine and General Surgery he practiced General Surgery for over 42 years in Conroe and Linden Texas and was later employed with the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston Texas.
Jerry's greatest passion was his family followed by hunting with his son along with fishing and golfing with many great friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Marion Leeves of Naples Texas and his special grandson, Drew Christian Leeves of Conroe Texas. His memories will forever be cherished by his wife of over 59 years, Winona Leeves and four children, daughter, Michele and son in law Mike Zarella, Daughter, Cheryl Anne and son in law Russ Smith, Son, Paul and daughter in law Tricia Leeves and Daughter, Donna and son in law Ken Reese. Seven grandchildren, Hunter Leeves and his wife Kelly, Meghan Leeves, Max Leeves, Ryan Zarella, Keira Zarella, Christian Reese and Catherine Reese. Jerry has one brother Dr. James Leeves and his wife Peggy. Niece, Dr. Jane Ann Leeves, Nephew, Jody and his wife Jane Leeves along with several cousins and many wonderful friends.The families would like to sincerely thank all of Jerry's doctors, nurses and staff from St. Luke's Hospital of Houston and The Woodlands, Texas along with the caregivers from Herman Memorial Hospice. Thank you also to the many friends for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in his honor to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice. The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, December fourteenth at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe, Texas. Immediately following is a reception in The Parish Center.
