

Elizabeth (Lies) Nievelstein Goode, 91, passed away peacefully on August 16th. She was born on September 17, 1922 in Meerssen, The Netherlands. Elizabeth was a WWII War Bride, moving to Texas in 1946. Formerly of Beaumont, Texas, she has lived in Houston and The Woodlands area for the past 40 years.
Survivors include daughters Lilyan Rogers (William) and Mary Northcutt (Jerry), both of The Woodlands; granddaughter Jennifer Best and her husband Cooper of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; grandson Mickey Northcutt of Salem, Massachusetts; Great-Grandson, Aaron Best; twin sister, Mia Kemper and sister Tiny Mijnes (Frans), both of The Netherlands, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 38 years, R.V. Goode, her parents, and her brothers, Jeff Nievelstein of Australia and Martin Nievelstein of The Netherlands.
Affectionately known as “Oma” to many, Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Family meant everything to her.
A Memorial Gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life is scheduled on Saturday, September 20th at 2:00pm in the Windsor Hills Clubhouse, 1 East Windsor Hills Circle, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.
