Ellen Joa Williams, born April 25, 1960, passed away on July 27, 2017 at the age of 57. Our beloved Ellen passed away unexpectedly, leaving her family and friends with heavy hearts. Ellen was born in Chicago, IL and lived in Illinois until she finished nursing school at Olivet Nazarene University. She moved to Texas and earned her Master’s Degree in Science at Texas Women’s University. Ellen worked in the medical field for over thirty years, including Houston Northwest Hospital for twenty two years and most recently Cypress Creek Emergency Center. Ellen cherished the twenty three years she had with her only child Samuel. Sam, the light of Ellen’s life, was taken too soon with his passing in 2012. She married Brent Williams in 2001 in Lake Tahoe, CA and they resided in The Woodlands, TX. Ellen was a fantastic aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She never missed an opportunity to visit and dote on all of them. Ellen loved her Golden Retrievers Shiner and Remington and her cats Isabella and Max. In her spare time she loved curling up with a good book. Ellen was a devout Christian and enjoyed starting every day with reading her Bible. She was a joy to her family and her sudden passing is devastating to all who knew her. Ellen is preceded in death by her son Samuel Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Brent Williams; her parents Robert Engelthaler of Hatfield, WI; Bonnie Trouton and her husband Duane of Knoxville, TN. Brent’s parents Terry and Kathy Williams of Conroe,TX. Her brother Dr. Mark Engelthaler and his wife Lesa of Richardson, TX. Brent’s sister Shannan Smith and her husband Rusty of College Station, TX. Her nephews Patrick and Will Smith, Matthew Engelthaler and his wife Jill, David Engelthaler and his wife Kristi. She is also survived by three great-nieces Lucy, Jane and Lennon.
