Elsie Ray Baker

Elsie M. Baker, our loving mother and sister, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, in the Woodlands, TX at the age of 99. She was born on August 1, 1926, in Noble, OK to Raymond Miller and Maude McFarland Miller.

Elsie graduated from Noble High School in 1944. She married Robert F. Baker on June 8, 1946. She was a member of Westbury Baptist Church, and enjoyed being a mom to her two sons, as well as cooking and sewing.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband (Robert); siblings Frieda Jones, Jane Vandenberg, Helen Collett, Harold Miller, and Sylvia Miller.

Elsie leaves her two sons Rusty Baker of Woodlands, TX and Mitch Baker (& wife Cheri) of Powell, TN; two granddaughters; three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; siblings Charlie Miller of Norman, OK; and Joyce Carle of Noble, OK; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and interment will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025, 11:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery; 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX.

The family expresses sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff of Choice Hospice and the caring team of The Landing at Augusta Woods for their Godly compassionate care of our mom during her final days.
