With hearts full of love but also immense sadness, we celebrate the vibrant life of Our sweet Wife, Mama, Nanny, Baby Sister, "Dorothy" who passed away on August 17, 2023 due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease.
Dorothy was a force of nature, a beacon of wit and a whirlwind of high spirits. Her feisty and joyful personality could light up any room, and her quick wit kept us all on our toes, often leading to laughter-filled gatherings.
But it was in the kitchen that she truly worked her magic. Her love of cooking and baking was legendary, and her culinary creations were nothing short of extraordinary. Whether it was the moist carrot cake, the ethereal cookies that melted in your mouth or our cherished family favorite, the unforgettable Chicken Poofies, her dishes were a source of boundless comfort and immeasurable joy for all blessed to partake in their delicious magic. Her kitchen was a haven of warmth and delicious aromas, where she not only fed our bodies but also nourished our souls. The memories of her teaching us the art of baking and cooking will forever be cherished.
Dorothy had a way of making ordinary moments extraordinary. Her zest for life was infectious and she instilled in us a love for laughter, good food, and living life to the fullest. She taught us to savor each moment and to approach life with a sense of humor and resilience.
While she may have left her earthly kitchen, her recipes, & her humor, her unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas James O'Reilly Sr., mother, Evila Vera O'Reilly, and son Marion Lee Kroll, Jr. (Bubba).
