Floyd Ward, 73, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. He was born on June 18, 1952, in Concord, Texas, to Clyde B. and Ruth Laurent Ward. Floyd was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was known to be a hard worker and had a lifelong career in road construction. He was an all-around handy man that even built his own house. Floyd’s favorite hobby was restoring antique cars which he did several of over the years.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Elizabeth. Floyd is also survived by his son Dwayne Ward; daughters Amanda Ward and her significant other Chris Vanzant and Michelle Ward; brothers Elton Ward and wife Patricia and Roy Ward; sisters Dollie Scoggins and Darlene Barr; grandchildren Jayden, Jordan, Hailey, Ralyn and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 5:00pm till 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 10:00am in the Cashner Colonial chapel. Burial will follow at Morgan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Stobb, Caleb Richardson, Sean Ward, Seth Ward, Brandon Johnson and Dillon Johnson.
