

June 10, 2011 at her home in Dobbin, Texas. She was 87 years old and is to be
laid to rest in the Montgomery Cemetery next to her husband, Curtis Coleman Harkey.
Funeral Services will be held at Metcalf Funeral Home, Conroe, Texas on Wednesday
June 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Viewing by friends and family will be available at Metcalf
Funeral Home on Tuesday 5:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Frances Chrys Harkey was the wife of Curtis Coleman Harkey and raised two sons:
Ron Harkey and Harry Harkey. She is survived by Ron Harkey, Harry Harkey and wife
Debi Jean. Grandchildren: Ryan Harkey,and wife Emily, Jason Harkey and wife Shelly, Julie Jackson and husband Brant, and Helen Harkey. Great Grand Children:
Evelyn, Silas, Seth, Samuel, Kaylynn, Maggie, Cody, Bryce, and Lauren.
Chrys was born in Timpson, Texas on February 11, 1924 and lived and worked in Austin, Tx., San Francisco, Ca.,Washington, D.C., and Houston, Tx., where she
married Curtis Harkey.
Curtis and Chrys eventually moved to Dobbin, Texas and raised Cattle. They loved the
outdoors and the agricultural way of life.
They were members of the Montgomery Methodist Church and both worked hard for the
Sunday School Programs.
Chrys Harkey was a Proud Texan and will be missed by all.
