Gary Alan Fryer, age 71, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026. Born on August 17, 1954, Gary lived a life defined by love for his family, quiet strength, and a steady presence that brought comfort to those around him.
Gary was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and sense of humor that could brighten even the most ordinary moments. He had a way of making people feel at ease and valued, whether through conversation, shared laughter, or simply being there when it mattered most. His kindness, resilience, and loyalty left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Gary also took great pride in his career, dedicating 33 years of service to Kroger, where his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment earned the respect of coworkers and leadership alike. His dedication reflected the values he lived by every day — responsibility, perseverance, and integrity.
Above all, Gary cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed, but whose legacy will live on through the memories he created and the love he gave so freely.
Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Conover Fryer, and his father, William Fryer Sr..
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mimi Fryer, with whom he shared almost 46 years of marriage. He was a proud and loving father to his children, Christina Boston (John), Jason Fryer, and Faith Fryer. He is also survived by his brother, William A. Fryer Jr. (Joan), as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor his memory by sharing a moment of kindness with someone else, just as Gary so often did.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
