Gerardo Gonzalez

Gerardo was born on February 24, 1945, in Los Aldamas, Nuevo León, to his parents, Canuto and Maria Gonzalez. He married the love of his life, Paula Gonzalez, in 1967, and together they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage. They raised five children and were the life of every party and family gathering. They loved traveling, dancing, and spending time with their family.

Gerardo meant the world to those who loved him and will be remembered for his warm laughter, unwavering love, and gentle spirit. He enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and time spent with his children and grandchildren. Anyone who met him was touched by his kindness and open heart; he had a natural way of connecting with everyone.

He is survived by his children, Jerry Gonzalez (Veronica), Maria Hudson (David), Joel Gonzalez (Sylvia), and Jesus Angel Gonzalez; daughter-in-law Isabel Gonzalez; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Ashlee, Matthew, Gloria, Jacob, Emily, Janellie, Alyssa, and Scarlett; and two great-grandchildren, Aubree and Jonah, all of whom he deeply adored. He is also survived by two sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula Gonzalez, and his son, Javier Gonzalez.

The family will celebrate his life on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with a burial service to follow at Garden Park Cemetery.

The family extends sincere appreciation to Roxanne Perez, who was not only a caregiver but a source of comfort and companionship during our father’s final months. Her humor, support, and loving presence were a blessing to him and our family.

The family also wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Home Care Select Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.

Gerardo will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
