

Funeral services for Isabelle Marie Entsminger Mast will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 1:30 PM in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church Conroe, TX with Rev. Mary Tumulty officiating, Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:30 PM, also in the chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
Isabelle was born Dec. 13, 1921 to parents Thomas and Violetta James Entsminger in Independence, KS. She married her loving husband, Lester Mast, on April 25 1945 in Kansas City, MO. Both her parents and her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Harrison and husband Doug; grandchildren, Staff Sgt Matthew Waltz and wife Diane, Amy Waltz McMillan and spouse Becky; great grandchildren, Anne Waltz, Heather McMillan, and James McMillan; sister, Willa Mae Clark and husband Edward; sister in law, Merle Mast; Nephew, Phil Clark and wife Kathy; and great niece, Emily Clark. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Isabelle graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Piano, a Bachelor's in Voice, and a Master's degree in Voice from the Conservatory of Music in Kansas City, MO. During her lengthy musical career, she served as choir director at many churches and taught piano and voice lessons to countless students. She served as past president of Sigma Alpha Iota and past district president of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. One of her greatest professional accomplishments was becoming amongst the first Certified Directors of Music in the United Methodist Church. She was a long time member of Christ United Methodist Church in Independence, MO and as an associate member of the First United Methodist Church in Conroe, TX.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Almost Home and Odyssey Hospice of Conroe, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either Odyssey Hospice, Christ United Methodist Church in Independence, MO, or First United Methodist Church Conroe, TX.
