Jack was born November 12, 1950 and graduated from Coral Gables High School in Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. and Helene D. Laskey, and his beloved tuxedo cat of twenty years, K.C.
He is survived by his brother, James A. (Jimmy) Laskey and his friends on the hill at Lake Conroe; the Snows, the Greins, the Bryants, and the Ballews.
Jack was passionate about all things motorized. Throughout his employment years, he worked for Stewart and Stevenson, Force Engine, Sea Ray, Man Diesel, and M&D Distributors. He tested and sold marine diesel engines, gas turbine generators, outboard motors, and diesel fuel injectors. Once Jack retired, he traveled each summer to the mid-west for months at a time in his RV with his RV friends.
Jack loved popcorn, hot dogs, and the Indy 500. He also raced riding lawn mowers. True to Jack’s personality, he had a dedicated racing mower and a separate riding mower for cutting his grass. He created “Turf Shark Racing” with the “Turf Cam,” a camcorder duct-taped to his helmet for races.
