Jim grew up in Houston and graduated from Jeff Davis High school. After graduation, Jim joined the United States Air Force where he met the love of his life, Hattie. Once Jim was honorably discharged, the family resided in Houston before making their way to Conroe. Jim worked for HB&T Railroad before it became BNSF Railroad from 1970 until 2007 when he retired. Jim enjoyed fishing with family, photography, good food, mowing the grass and watching movies. He was very interested in the newest technology and was always ahead of his family on the newest trends. He was a collector of many items and interests.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Hattie Fagan, sons Jerry Ray Fagan and daughter in law, Theresa and James Dewayne Fagan and wife April, grandsons, James Ray and Matthew David Fagan. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Fagan.
A celebration of life and visitation with family will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 9020 Airport Road in Conroe.
