James A. Sadoti

In loving memory of James A. “Jim” Sadoti, 83, who passed over the heavenly bridge from his wife’s loving arms into the arms of his beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 5, 2018. He was born June 30, 1934, in Clearfield, PA, the seventh son of eight children to Nicola C. Sadoti and Caterina Fama Sadoti. A first generation Italian, Jim was raised in Clearfield and after graduating from high school, he lived a short time in Washington D.C. with one of his brothers. He was a proud veteran who served his Country in the U.S. Army in Germany, Armor Tank Division as a radio operator. After the army he went back home to Clearfield, helping out his folks for a while, before moving on to Arlington, VA where he landed a job with Eastern Airlines in the early 1960’s. Eastern then transferred Jim to Houston, TX where the Lord led him to his beloved June. Jim retired from the Veterans Administration in 1994 when they then moved to Conroe, TX. Jim attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe. He loved God and Jesus above all. And, with all his might he loved and cherished his June and they were the “two peas in a pod” from day one, forever in each other’s soul. His heartstrings were always held tight to his family and knew we were a strong tree. He was constantly making PaPa memories each one forever imprinted in his heart; he was always there for every one of us. Jim tried golfing for a while, and he liked his yearly trips on his birthday to visit the gaming tables of Louisiana. Also on this list, Jim and June loved making the never ending vacations back to Pennsylvania and Myrtle Beach and the 49 states they traveled together. Those scheduled Chinese New Year dinners with Sandy and Wayne where joking and laughter were also sitting next to him. And lest we forget, Jim was the king of Gin Rummy, claiming proudly his Burger King crown, with June handing over the crying towel to Jeff … Jim is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: John, Tony, Philip, Nick, Carl and his sister: Carmella Moore and he is survived by one brother, Joseph Sadoti of Virginia. Survivors include: his wife and soul mate, his beloved June; children: Melinda Peters and husband Jeff of Conroe, TX; Mike Fritzler and wife Linda of Austin, TX; Max Fritzler of Galveston, TX and Mary Beth Bosworth and husband Skipper of Tomball, TX. Jim was PaPa to grandchildren: Melanie Dodson and husband Richard; Kristy Collins and husband Jim; Wendy Hoot and husband Eric; Alisha Flood and husband Jason; Sarah Cadwell and husband Boone; Kagan Bosworth and wife Jessica and Collin Bosworth and wife Megan. His great-grandchildren are: Brett and Megan Dodson; Colton and Katie Collins; Dylan, Addie and Jake Hoot; Cole, Emily and Madison Walker; Scarlett Cadwell and Jack Bosworth and Brody Bosworth. Also surviving are his special nieces and nephews scattered throughout Texas and Pennsylvania. Not to be forgotten are his many close and dear friends he truly loved through the years and included are friends of short acquaintance who gave him hope of eternal peace. Last, but not forgotten, with heartfelt thanks for the caring words to Jim and soothing of spirit of those who last saw him – Thank You Father Phillip and to the Heart to Heart Hospice Care team, and also Dr. E. Kleinbaum and the kind and loving care of his nurses who attended him during his treatment and to the friends and neighbors who came to see him. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions to Jim be made to a charity of your choice. Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be in the Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10th.
