She is survived by her loving husband, James Watkins Sr.; brothers, Dale Welch and his wife Karen, Jim Welch and his wife June, John Welch and his wife Sue, Clifford Welch and his wife Debra; sisters; Nell Croft and her husband Bobby, Christene Ludwig, Emileen Atkinson and her husband Richard; She was a proud mother of, James Singleton, Sandy Turner and her husband Jason, Sherry Brannon and her husband Barry, James Watkins Jr. and his wife Jeanette, Cindy Wood, and Kimberly Watkins; loving grandmother of 17; great grandmother of 9 and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ima Welch; grandson, Elijah Watkins; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Janice was known for her love of church, family functions, political events, and bringing people together. Her love of activities includes, Champion Horseshoe pitcher, Bingo, Pool, Softball, Bunco, Fire & Rescue, and being a member of the American Legion. She will be greatly missed by the entire community.
Visitation for Janice will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas.
Funeral service will occur on Saturday, October 28, 2023 beginning at 2:00PM at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. Graveside will follow in Morgan Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are James Watkins, Jr., Tommy Gage, Wesley Doolittle, Danny Doolittle, Jeffrey Atkinson, Chris Welch, Paul Crofton, and David Ludwig.
