Jerry Mark Matthews

Jerry “Mark” Matthews, went to be with the Lord on April 5th, 2022. He was born on June 2, 1960 in Ft. Worth, TX to parents Anna and Winston Matthews. He married the love of his life Diana on August 4, 1990.

Mark worked in the cable industry for over 20 years developing lifelong friendships. He was always the funniest man in the room making everyone he knew laugh and happy to be around him.

A lot of family friends and young men knew him as “Coach Mark” He loved coaching both his boys as well as many other kids he would instill the love of the game to over the years. Both baseball and football were his passion, especially his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

He is preceded in death by his son Austin Matthews, his brother Gary Doty, mother Anna Bell and father Winston Matthews. He is survived by his wife Diana Matthews, mother in law Ann Pace, Sons David Grubbs and Michelle, Kevin Grubbs, Jason Grubbs and Kristie. His daughters Kristy Bowden and Todd, Tiffany Grubbs and Storm and daughter in law Kerri Grubbs and his 14 grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 at 2:00pm in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to service from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home.
