Joan Cassell

She was preceded in death by her father Marion Frank Courtney and mother Adena Templin Courtney; Husband Alvin “Nub” Cassell; son Kenneth Don Cassell; brother Doyle; and sisters Brenda and Patsy.

Joan is survived by her daughter Connie Cassell; daughter-In-law Carlene Cassell; granddaughter Kristen Culpepper and husband Micheal; granddaughter Danielle Jansch and grandson Dylan Cassell and wife Taylor; great grandchildren (oldest to youngest) Brody Culpepper, Maverick Culpepper, Paisley Smith, Kenzie Cassell, Kannon Cassell, Wyatt Smith, Kreek Cassell; brother Carroll Courtney and wife Bethel and grand dog Ryat.

A word from our family:

Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother was a spiritual anchor for this family and all who knew her. We draw great comfort in knowing, beyond a doubt, that she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She led our family by example of faith, perseverance and many, many prayers for us all. She fought for us all daily on bended knee. We will miss her but will carry her memory until the day our family is reunited once again. We love you; we will miss you; and may our circle be unbroken.

A committal service will be held at Garden Park Cemetery, located at 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX, 77303. The service is scheduled for December 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
