

Kathy McKey Hollinger passed away peacefully on May 31, 2011, at her home in The Woodlands, Texas. She departed this life as she lived it, surrounded by loving family and friends. Visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011, from 5:00—9:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011, 10:00 a.m., at West Conroe Baptist Church, with graveside service immediately following at Garden Park Cemetery.
Born in Polk County on December 20, 1955, Mrs. Hollinger attended Livingston High School and later moved to the Tomball area, where she became a realtor and was an active member of Tomball’s First Baptist Church. She and her husband joined West Conroe Baptist Church in 2010, after relocating to The Woodlands. In addition to her interest in real estate, Mrs. Hollinger enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating, and travel; however, the primary focus of her life was her beloved family.
Mrs. Hollinger was preceded in death by her father, Edward Jackson McKey.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Larry Hollinger, her daughter Tanya Sharron and husband Chris, her son Eric Hollinger and wife Desiree, and her grandsons, Daniel and Cole Sharron. She is also survived by her mother, Enid Ruth Smith McKey, and her brothers Roy McKey and wife Vicki, James McKey and wife Jackie, Dexter McKey and wife Michelle, and their children.
The Hollinger family offers its deepest gratitude to the countless friends and family members who showed support through cards, emails, phone calls, visits, flowers, and other gestures of kindness.
