Born in Point Loma, California, Mark lived a life defined by faith, devotion, and unwavering love for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend whose steady presence and serving heart touched everyone who knew him.
For 46 years, Mark was the beloved husband of Nonie Bailey. Their marriage was a testament to commitment, partnership, and enduring love. Together they built a life filled with laughter, resilience, faith and cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
Mark was known for his stability, sense of humor, work ethic and making everyone feel as if they belonged. Whether through his work as the Branch Manager of a large coffee company, or that of a barista at a small coffee shop, in his service to his church or to the community - he made a lasting impact.
Growing up in Point Loma, he often spoke of fond memories of running around the docks and working on the fishing boats. In addition to fishing, he enjoyed golfing, watching the Chargers and Padres, making a good espresso and just sitting in good conversation - he always found joy being with friends. Mark especially treasured time spent with his family. His steady love, strong work ethic and sense of humor will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nonie Bailey; his children, Sarah Wright (Warren), Stephanie Bailey, Katherine Cortez; his grandchildren, Jedidiah Wright, Raddix Wright, Hudson Cortez and Chase Cortez; his sister Joy Bailey and stepsisters Valerie Roxburgh and Claudia Roxburgh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Bob Roxburgh and father Donald Bailey.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in our faith and the hope that he is at peace, embraced by God’s eternal love. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure and he will be deeply missed until we are reunited again.
