Marvil Larue Higgins, beloved wife mother and nanny, was born September 11, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas to Thomas and Oma Lewis. She passed away November 5, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. Preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Higgins, she is survived by sons Earl Higgins and Kenneth Higgins. She has seven grandchildren; Mark Gordon, Earl "Wayne" Higgins, Jr., Christopher Green, Susan Higgins Cheatham, Gina Helm, Ginger Higgins Pumphrey, and Julie Higgins. Numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends also survive. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm at Metcalf Funeral Director in Conroe. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 2 pm in the Metcalf Memorial Chapel with interment at the Houston National Cemetery on November 17, 2014.
