Mary Anna Pfeffer was born on February 20, 1925, in Chicago, IL to Alois and Barbara Clara (Schummer) Pfeffer. She moved to Texas to be with her daughter in 2011 after living most of her life in Chicago.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting and reading. She maintained several lifelong friendships. She worked over 20 years in the banking industry.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, brother Frank Matthew Pfeffer, daughter Barbara Alice Eckert and ex-husband Glen Field Eckert.
She is survived by daughters Judy Lintus, Susan Eckert Tatum (Carl), and son Matthew Glen Eckert (Ofelia) and six grandchildren: Amy Eckert, Rebecca Eckert Demitri (Dusty), Adam Eckert, William Tatum, Joey Tatum (Katie) and Lyndsey Tatum.
