Mary Gwendolyn Elson a.k.a. Grammie, went home to her Lord and Savior April 4, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born September 5, 1943 in Dallas Texas. She was a great mom and loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren fiercely and wanted nothing but greatness and goodness for them all.
She loved to shop and was a fashion queen ahead of her time. She also loved to work in her gorgeous yard with different annuals and perennials. Inside her home always had large vibrant plants as well. She definitely had a green thumb. Her love language was serving others and giving and she did it so well!
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Roger Sterling Beck and Rosemary, and sister, Barbara Evans. She is survived by her husband Jack Elson, her son and daughter-in-law Steven and Debbie Taylor, her daughter and son-in-law Jeff and Stephany Williams, her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Carrie Taylor. Her grandchildren Gunnar Williams, Cody Taylor, Jadon Williams Caroline Shiflet and her husband Bryson Shiflet, and great grandson on the way, Maddox Shiflet; Cole Taylor and his wife Britton Taylor, great grandson Oliver Boone Taylor. Also by Siblings: Roger Beck, Bill Beck, and Kathy Cann. She was loved in life and in death and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
