
Funeral services for Max Herbert Cunningham will be held Monday, March 14, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends at a memorial visitation Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
Max was born September 1, 1925 in Emporia, Kansas to Ernest and Ethel Cunningham and met his Heavenly Father, March 11, 2011 in Conroe, Texas. Max was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and worked with his wife in the St. Mark Lutheran Church Thrift Shop. He was an avid gardener, loved music and building miniature houses. Max graduated from the University of Kansas in 1950 with a Bachelor's degree in Business. Max proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II.
Max is survived by his loving wife of 64 years who was also his best friend and he hers, Ruth Cunningham of Conroe, TX; daughter, Janie Roth of Conroe, TX; son, Jerry Cunningham and his wife Kathy of Prescott Valley, AZ; sister, Ida Burns of New Castle, DE; grandson, Chris Roth and his wife Laurie of Texas City, TX and great grandchildren, LeAnne Daniel, Ginny Roth and Justin Roth.
