Mildred Marie Manning Moore a humble servant of Jesus Christ and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and faithful friend. Mildred passed away on Thursday, March 18,2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital at 11:57pm. She was 91.
Mildred was born in White Castle, Louisiana, grew up in Cleveland, Texas, and moved to Conroe, Texas where she met the love of her life Howard Dewitt Moore. Mildred is survived by her loving brother Albert Ray Manning, her loving son Howard “Mike” Moore, her loving granddaughter Tami Moore Sikes, and her loving great grandchildren Faith and Colton Sikes. Mildred is preceded in death by her father A.T. Manning, mother Eunice Hernandez Manning, and her sister Johnny Mae Manning Brown. She was a resident of Conroe for 67 years. Her husband Howard and her, along with his brothers and their wives founded Moore Brothers Lumber Company where they served their community for many years. Mildred’s interests were reading her Bible daily, old Westerns, the Chase Game show, Judge Judy & word search.
Mildred was a faithful member of Mims Baptist Church for 57 years where she served throughout those years as a member of the choir, a member of the Lydia class Sunday school, and the head of her classes prayer team.
Mildred’s visitation will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021, at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas between the hours of 4pm-7pm. (Mask are mandatory)
Mildred’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Mims Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas at 11 a.m. (Mask are optional but recommended) Officated by Jerry Chaddick. Her place of burial will be at Garden Park Cemetery on Teas Road in Conroe, Texas.
