Patricia Mae Stroman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at the age of 92, at home in Montgomery, TX, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia, who was affectionately known as Patty, was born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, 1933, in San Antonio, TX to Aubrey and Lillian Davenport. Patty had 2 sisters, the oldest Gerry Whitley and the youngest Jayne James, who are no longer with us.
Patty married Arlyn Clement Stroman on May 31st, 1952 in San Antonio, TX. Patty and Arlyn celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 31st, 2002
Patty, lived a life filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. Patty was sweet, classy, and had a remarkable sense of humor. Her sharp wit and unpredictable quips would always leave all who knew her in fits of laughter.
Patty and Arlyn were avid tennis players and proud members of the April Sound Country Club. Together, they were loyal members of the April Sound Tennis Team. Patty and Arlyn shared their passion for tennis with their grandchildren, teaching them the finer points of the game and molding them into skilled players. As they got older Patty took interest in learning how to play golf, with her loving and patient husband as her teacher.
Patty and Arlyn shared a deep love for the lake, spending countless peaceful days boating together. They often invited family and friends to join them for activities like skiing, tubing, or simply enjoying rides on the water.
They were active members of several square dance clubs. Their passion for dancing was more than a pastime, it was a true testament to their partnership as each step they took together on the dance floor seemed to echo the harmony and rhythm of their life together.
Patty was an involved member of both the Lions Club and Toys for Tots. She was dedicated to supporting a range of good causes and projects in our local community.
Faith was an important part of Patty’s life. Patty was a devoted member of the First Methodist Church in Conroe, where she found a sense of community within her congregation. Patty was affectionately known as the “Donut Lady,” a title she earned for her weekly tradition of bringing donuts to feed her Sunday School class, every Sunday Morning.
Later in life Patty took great joy with her daughter Terri in playing Bunco with their Bunco Group in Highland Ranch.
She loved giving her Grandkids golf cart rides around the neighborhood, which were always treasured moments of fun.
Patty had a great love for the outdoors. She and Arlyn took their young kids camping and swimming every year as it became a much-awaited part of their time together.
Laechelin Family Reunions became a cornerstone of Patricia’s commitment to her family. Her unwavering love for family fostered decades of cherished annual reunions, eagerly anticipated by all who attended.
Above all, Patty treasured her family and friends. They were the most important part of her life, and her love and care for them were evident in everything she did. Her warmth, humor, and vivacious spirit leaves a lasting mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Patricia is preceded in death by her husband Arlyn Stroman. She is survived by her son Wayne Arlyn Stroman and his wife Michelle, her daughter Terri Renei Moore and her husband Jim, grandchildren, Rev. Bryan Moore and his wife Christy, Jason Moore, Heather McShan and her husband Jonathan, great grandchildren oldest to youngest, Erik McCreash 18, Yulia McShan 16, Carly Moore 15, Craigen McShan 12, Rachel Moore 11, Evelyn Moore 8, Joshua Moore 6, Kinzee McShan 5, Brody McShan 4.
Patty will be deeply missed by all as she was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
