Patricia Barbara Thayer

“Pat” as she was often referred to, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was born in Chicago, Illinois to Florence and William Tomanek. She was raised in Arizona, and later moved to Washington state where she married her husband Rod and they raised their family there. The last few years of her life she lived with her husband in Texas, near their daughters and their families. Patricia will be remembered for her strong faith in Jesus and her calling as a teacher, to which she taught students of all ages in high school, college and trade school throughout her career.

Though she may have gone to heaven she will be forever in our hearts. Until we reunite again, may she rest in paradise with the Lord. “For you have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord In the land of the living.” Psalm 116: 8-9

Patricia is preceded by her mother Florence Tomanek (Melnik), father William Tomanek, and her sister Diane Aarseth. She is survived by her husband Rodney Thayer, her daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Joseph Abreu, her daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Luke Mahoney, and her grandchildren Noah, Nathan, Natalie and Jaxon.
