Peter J Callahan went to be with the Lord on February 25, 2011. Mr. Callahan was born in Suffern New York. He was a staff sergeant and served with the Army Thunderbirds in Korea as a medic. Mr. Callahan is survived by his wife Mrs. Doris A. Callahan of 54 years his two daughters Lisa Marie Fletcher (David Fletcher) and Gail Patricia Papa Dalby ( Robert Neil Dalby) and his son Michael Shawn Callahan ( Mickey Callahan ) as well as 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Callahan moved to Lehigh Acres Florida in 1973 and resided there for 30 years, moving to Conroe Texas in 2005. Mr. Callahan was a long time member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Knights of Columbus. He was known by his grandchildren as "Poppy" He will be missed by many and is loved by all. Arrangements under the direction of Metcalf Funeral Directors, Conroe, TX.
