Philip Battaglia, 80, of Willis, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013. He was born on December 19, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, to Filippo and Anna Battaglia. Philip proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He was a volunteer fireman in Bloomingdale, Illinois, and drove a special needs bus for CISD. Philip is survived by his loving wife of 57 yrs. Carol; children Cynthia, Michael, Lisa and Maria; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. in the Cashner Colonial Chapel with entombment to follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
