Raymond Wayne Rushing

Raymond Wayne Rushing was born on April 29, 1942 in Cowl Spur, Texas to Louis Henry and Tempe Marie Rushing. He passed away on January 5, 2021 in The Woodlands, Texas. Raymond retired after 31 years from Union Pacific Resources as a pipeline foreman. He was a Counselman for the City of Cut-n-Shoot for 8 years, Mayor of Cut-n-Shoot, Texas from 1977–1985, Deacon of Grace Baptist, New Bethlehem Baptist and Security Baptist Church over the years.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Esta Marie Rushing Ellis; brother-in-law, Roy Gore.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene Rushing; siblings, Louise Rushing Gore, John Kirby Rushing and wife Peggie, Pattie Harris and husband Paul, Lora Kay Rushing Steen and husband Bernie;

sons, Dwayne Rushing and wife Kristen, and Kevin Rushing; grandchildren, Megan Rushing Teel, Melissa Rushing,Tyler Rushing, Harlie Rushing, Taylor Rushing; 5 great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at County Line Cemetery in Willis, Texas beginning at 10:00am.
