Rickey Lee Neeley, 72, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. He was born on October 21, 1953, in Refugio, Texas, to RL and LaVern Neeley. Rickey graduated from Conroe High School and then joined the United States Airforce. He was stationed at Holloman Airforce Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico. There, he worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. When he returned home from the Airforce, Rickey went to work for Texas International Airlines. After seven years working for the Airlines, he then began working for the State of Texas. After 22 years of service there, he then retired.
Rickey will be remembered for his unwavering love of softball and the joy he found on the field. His passion for the game was matched only by his love for traveling with his family. Whether he was rounding bases or exploring new places with the people he loved most, Rickey lived life with enthusiasm, laughter, and a full heart.
Rickey was preceded in death by his Son Ronald Lee Neeley; Father RL Neeley; Mother Evelyn LaVerne Williams; Sister Arlinda Sue Shultz and Brother Gary Wayne Neeley. He is survived by his loving Wife of 52 years Anna Kay Neeley; Son John Allen Neeley; Step-Mother Dorothy Neeley; Siblings Teresa Neeley Martin, Carole Weihrich, Randy David and Lori Timmons; Grandchildren Katlyn Madison Craft, John Riley Neeley and Kiley Lane Neeley; Great Grandchild Presley Nicole Craft and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:00 am, with visitation to begin one hour prior, at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Rd. Conroe, Texas, 77303. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Security Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be John Neeley, John Riley Neeley, Jeremy Dueitt, Jamie Metts, Gregg McKenna, and Rick Miller.
