

Funeral services for Robert (Bob) Wayne Armstrong, age 68, of Montgomery will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Reverend Reagan Cooksey officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in Brooke Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
Bob was born February, 7, 1942 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jeanetta Olson and step-father, Victor F. Olson, who he always saw as his father, and entered into rest on April 10, 2010 in Conroe, Texas. He was attending the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Citizens Academy in Conroe, Texas. He worked for KBR in Iraq for 3 years, 2003 to 2006, and was currently employed by Dril-Quip. Bob graduated from Bellaire High School in 1961 and from Sam Houston State University in 1965. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force and became a disabled veteran during the Viet Nam Era. Bob will be remembered by his family as a dedicated employee, loving husband, father, grandfather and a good friend. He was a Christian man and left his family and friends with peace knowing they would see their forever friend again in heaven by his faith in Jesus Christ.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Linda Armstrong; children, Tonya Lohr Mercer (Steve), Crystal Carpenter (Chris), Amber Dew (Chris) and Christopher Armstrong; grandchildren, Morgan, Dakota, Chloe and Aiden, Hailey, Kylee, Jasmyn and Cason; identical twin brother, Mac Armstrong (Texene); step-brother, Robert Olson (Polly). Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Pallbearers will be James Hayden, Chris Armstrong, Christopher Dew,Jessica Hayden, Trey Abercrombie,Bob Haese, Steve Mercer and Timothy Hayden.
