Ronnie was welcomed into eternal rest by his beloved mother, Mary Harmon; his brother, Curtis; his sister, Connie; and his cherished daughter, Shannon.
He leaves behind a family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts: his father, Robert Henley; his sister, Brenda; and his daughters, Veronica, Haley, and Shelby.
Ronnie lived life with a spirit that was as adventurous as it was kind. A natural storyteller, he loved sharing tales of his travels and the many adventures that shaped his life—from dreams of seeing the world to memories of riding bulls in his younger days. His laughter was contagious, his humor constant, and whether he was telling a joke or playing a prank, he brought joy to those around him.
A true jack of all trades and master of many, Ronnie took pride in his skills and handiwork. He found beauty in creativity, especially through poetry, which held a special place in his heart.
Ronnie’s love for his country ran deep. A proud patriot, he held immense respect and gratitude for those who served in the military. He had a gentle heart for the elderly and anyone in need, always ready to lend a helping hand. His chivalry and kindness never went unnoticed—he was the kind of man who made sure others felt cared for in the smallest of ways.
He was a devoted fan of the Houston Texans and the Houston Astros, rarely missing a game and always cheering with passion. Yet, some of his happiest moments were the simplest ones, casting a fishing line into the water and wondering what he might reel in next.
Ronnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of laughter, strength, and compassion will live on in the lives he touched.
Rest in peace, sweet man. “Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your spirit lives within us, forever in our hearts.”
