Roy Wayne Fincher

Roy was a loving, caring, gentle and kind man. He was known for his warm personality and his dedication to his family. Roy’s interests included carpentry, yard work and watching sports, specifically the Houston Astros.

Roy graduated from Bellaire High School and attended the University of Texas where he played baseball. He then transferred and graduated from the University of Houston. In his career, Roy worked in various fields including office supply, lumberjack, carpentry, and equipment repair. He was a skilled and hardworking individual who took pride in his work.

He is survived by his children: William Fincher and wife Tamara Fincher, Laura Patten, and Raymond Kattner; Siblings: Gay Manning, Jane Hayes and husband Brad Hayes; Grandchildren: Nicholas Fincher and wife Ryanne Fincher, Victoria Fincher, Jordan Kattner, and Luke Patten; Great-grandchild: William Sterling Fincher.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Fincher; Mother, JoAnn Fincher; Father, Raymond Fincher; and brother-in-law, James Manning.

A visitation will be held on Thursday May 30, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas. The graveside funeral service will take place on Friday May 31, 2024, at 11am at Garden Park Cemetery.
