Ruben Gonzalez, a World War II veteran, passed away at the age of 94. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean. They had 3 children Diane (husband is Bob), Allan (wife is Jan), and Yvonne (husband was Ricky who is in Heaven). Mr. Gonzalez was born to Victor and Flora Gonzalez who passed away. He is the grandfather of Joshua Sr. (married to Mandy), Brooke (married to Jason, Sr.) and Benjamin (married to Tiffany). He is honored to be a Great grandfather to Romanie, Joshua Jr., Alexis, Grace, Jason Jr., Isabella and Griffin.
Ruben will be remembered by family and friends who said he was a hard working construction contractor, a proud patriot ,and a US Navy veteran. His oldest child introduced him to gardening and would bring him plants for his garden such as knockout roses, groundcover and satsuma oranges.
Ruben was preceded in death by his siblings Elvira, Victor and Alice. He has one surviving sister Rachel.
The graveside service will be held at the VA Cemetery in Houston.
