Ruby Francis Whittington

Ruby Frances Whittington Oct. 16, 1929 – Apr. 27, 2017 Born in Mobile, AL to Gus and “Pretty” Rodriguez, Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Whittington and youngest daughter, Erin. She leaves behind 5 children, Larry and his wife Leslie, Debbie Debowski and husband John, Jan Whittington, Leslie Bolton, Tom and wife LaVon. A graduate of Bishop Toolen High School in Mobile, Ruby Married Bill Jan. 10, 1948 and raised her family in the Roman Catholic faith. She loved her family of 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Known as “Ma” to all, Ruby was surrounded by her family at the moment of her death and homecoming. She received hugs and kisses until her last earthly, breath and will always be considered the most perfect Mother and will be embraced in our hearts forever. Visitation will be at 5 P.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 with Rosary at 6 P.M. at Metcalf Funeral Home in Conroe, TX. Funeral Mass will be at 10 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wednesday, May 3, 2017, also in Conroe. A luncheon will be held at the Parish Hall immediately following the Mass, with interment at the Houston National Cemetery at 1 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
