Funeral services for Ruth Marie Downs, age 75, of New Caney will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Gene Kendrick officiating. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.Ruth was born July 6, 1934 in Mayville, Louisiana and passed away on June 3, 2010 in Kingwood, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Renee Smith and husband Andrew of New Caney; sons, Milton Downs and wife Bonnie of Conroe and Randall Downs and wife Kathy of New Caney; sisters, Lucille Daigle of Moss Bluff, Louisiana and Alma Miller of Austin; grandchildren, Valari Smith, AJ Downs and wife Rachel, Quentin Downs, Brandi Barrett and husband Nick and Aaron “Bubba” Downs; great grandchildren, Payton Barrett, Brooke Barrett and Karis Downs. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Pallbearers will be AJ Downs, Quentin Downs, Aaron Downs, Andrew Smith, Eric Martin, Terry Brister and Nick Barrett.
